Office Wi-Fi installation
Office Wi-Fi installation with a proper site survey, UniFi or Cisco Meraki access points, VLANs for guests and IoT, and Wi-Fi 6, 6E or 7 where it pays.
In short
Office Wi-Fi installation starts with a site survey to find where signal is weak, where interference comes from and how many devices each area needs to serve. Dig IT Solutions then installs UniFi or Cisco Meraki access points, cabled to the right locations, with separate networks for staff, guests and devices such as printers and cameras. The result is Wi-Fi that works in every room.
When you need this
Signs this is the right conversation
- The Wi-Fi drops every time someone walks to the other end of the office.
- We upgraded our internet and it made no difference.
- Visitors are on the same network as our servers.
- One consumer router is doing the job for forty people.
- Our building has thick walls and nothing seems to get through.
Scope
What we deliver
Wireless site survey
Measured signal, interference and coverage across your floor plan, with a heat map and a proposed access point layout.
UniFi or Meraki access points
Business-grade access points chosen for the building and device density, mounted and powered over Ethernet from the switch.
Cabling to each access point
Cat6 or Cat6a runs to ceiling positions so access points aren't limited by a plug socket or a mesh hop.
Network segmentation
Separate VLANs and SSIDs for staff, guests, IoT devices and CCTV, with bandwidth limits on guest networks so visitors can't slow the business down.
Wi-Fi 6, 6E or 7 where it matters
Newer standards specified where device density or throughput justifies it, as with the Wi-Fi 7 access points that resolved slow internet for a JIF Electrical client.
Central management and monitoring
Access points managed from a single controller, with alerts for outages and reports on usage and client counts.
Outcomes
What you get out of it
- Coverage in every room, including the difficult ones.
- Guests and devices isolated from company systems.
- Fewer complaints about dropped calls and slow file access.
- A network that can be seen and managed remotely.
