Dig IT Solutions supports businesses in Ware, Stanstead Abbotts, Great Amwell and Wareside with managed IT, cyber security, Microsoft 365, networking, backup and VoIP. Ware is five miles from our Hoddesdon office, about 15 minutes by road, so remote support begins immediately and an engineer is on site typically the same day when hardware or cabling needs hands-on attention.

Local context

Supporting businesses in Ware

Ware is a small market town with one very large employer. GSK's manufacturing and research site on Park Road has been part of the town since Allen & Hanburys arrived in the 1890s, and it still shapes the local economy: engineering contractors, cleanroom and laboratory suppliers, packaging firms and recruitment agencies orbit the plant, and a good number of Ware's professional workers have a pharma background. We do not support GSK, but we do support the kind of 10 to 60 person firms that supply businesses like it, where a documented, secure IT set-up is part of winning the contract.

The rest of the town's businesses sit along the High Street, Star Street and Baldock Street, in the Marsh Lane and Crane Mead industrial area by the River Lea, and on the units along Westmill Road. They include accountants and solicitors, estate agents, dental and veterinary practices, boat and leisure businesses on the river, and light industrial and trade counters. Ware is close enough to Hertford that many firms have a foot in both towns. Plenty of the older buildings on the High Street are listed, so Wi-Fi coverage and cable routes need more thought than in a new office.

Ware sits on the A10 and the Hertford East line, so staff commute in from Hertford, Hoddesdon and further afield, and a fair number of owners live in the villages around Wadesmill, Thundridge and Wareside, where broadband is patchier than in town. Remote working set-ups, secure VPN access and Microsoft 365 done properly are the recurring requests. In the town itself full-fibre availability is decent, but on the Marsh Lane units it is worth checking rather than assuming.

From Hoddesdon we reach Ware in about 15 minutes, either up the A10 or through Great Amwell and Stanstead Abbotts. It is one of our closest towns, so on-site work here is quick to arrange and, for an urgent fault, typically the same day. Most day-to-day support happens remotely, with monitoring agents on your machines handling patching and alerts, and Splashtop for anything that needs a hands-on fix.

What clients say about working with us

Reviews left on Google by the businesses we support. Several name the engineer who did the work, which is how we like it.
“Dig IT Solutions helped us reorganise our messy network cabinet. They rewired and renumbered all Ethernet ports, installed a secure switch, and set up a shared drive for staff use. Everything was completed efficiently and to a high standard. I'm very pleased with the outcome and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dig IT Solutions to anyone needing reliable IT support.”

FAQ

IT support in Ware: your questions

Straight answers. If yours is not here, call 020 8482 4020 or 01992 939 365 and ask an engineer.
How quickly can an engineer get to Ware?
Ware is about 15 minutes from our Hoddesdon office, up the A10 or through Great Amwell. Most requests are dealt with remotely through Splashtop while you are still on the phone. If a visit is needed, for a failed drive, a dead switch or cabling, an engineer is on site typically the same day. We are close enough that Ware businesses get the same practical response as our Hoddesdon neighbours.
Do you cover Stanstead Abbotts, Wadesmill and the villages around Ware?
Yes. Stanstead Abbotts, St Margarets, Great Amwell, Wareside, Wadesmill, Thundridge, Hunsdon and Widford are all within our normal coverage. Village offices and converted farm buildings tend to have weaker broadband and thicker walls, so we look at 4G or 5G failover, leased lines where they are worth it, and a proper Wi-Fi survey rather than a router in the corner.
How much does IT support cost in Ware?
We charge a fixed monthly fee per device. Indicative figures, reviewed October 2026 and confirmed in a written quote, are £17.50 per computer or laptop, £16.50 per desk phone with the line included, £10 per network printer, £25 per router or firewall and £150 per server, each per month. A 10-person office with a firewall is typically a couple of hundred pounds a month. The cost calculator on our site gives an instant estimate.
We supply GSK and other large customers. Can you help with their security questionnaires?
Yes. Supplier questionnaires from large pharma and manufacturing customers usually ask about MFA, endpoint protection, patching, backups, access control and incident response. We put those controls in place, EDR on every device, Microsoft 365 hardened, RMM for patching, tested backups, and document them so you can answer accurately. If Cyber Essentials is on the list we prepare you for it, though we do not certify you ourselves.
Can you support our other office in London?
Yes. We support businesses across North and central London from Hoddesdon, and a Ware firm with a London office gets one helpdesk, one contract and the same monitoring and security tools at both sites. We link the sites with a site-to-site VPN or a shared Microsoft 365 tenant, and plan London on-site visits around your diary, with urgent attendance where it is needed.
Do you install Wi-Fi and CCTV in Ware?
Yes. We install UniFi and Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi with structured cabling, which is what Ware's listed High Street buildings and the Marsh Lane units both need for reliable coverage, and we fit UniFi Protect cameras that record locally and are viewable on a phone. We survey the building first and quote from what we measure, not from a floor plan.
