What is voip & business phone systems?
Dig IT Solutions supplies and supports cloud VoIP phone systems for businesses across Hertfordshire, Essex and London, primarily on the 8x8 platform. We port your existing numbers, provision desk phones, softphones and mobile apps, integrate with Microsoft Teams where useful, and prioritise voice traffic on the network we already manage. It replaces ISDN and analogue lines ahead of the January 2027 PSTN switch-off.
Problems we fix
The problems this service exists to solve
Landlines with a deadline
Analogue and ISDN lines are being withdrawn, and the lines feeding alarms, lifts and card terminals need a plan too.
Calls tied to a desk
Staff at home, at other sites or on the road miss calls or give out mobile numbers, and customers cannot tell who is available.
Call quality problems
A VoIP system bought from a telecoms reseller, dropped onto a network nobody surveyed, with no traffic prioritisation.
Two suppliers blaming each other
The phone company says it is the network. The IT company says it is the phones. Nobody fixes it.
Scope
What is included
System design and number porting
Call flows, hunt groups, auto-attendants and voicemail designed around how customers call you, with existing numbers ported without gaps.
Handsets, softphones and mobile apps
Desk phones where they are wanted, softphones and mobile apps for everyone else, so the system follows staff between office, home and site.
Microsoft Teams integration
Calling from Teams where it suits the business, so one directory and presence status covers chat, meetings and phone calls.
Network readiness
Quality of service, VLANs and connection checks on the network we manage, so calls are prioritised over file syncs and video.
PSTN switch-off migration
An audit of every line and what depends on it, including alarms, lifts, door entry and card terminals, with a migration plan before the deadline.
Ongoing support
Adds, moves and changes handled by the helpdesk, with call reporting and analytics available for managers.
Outcomes
What changes for the business
- One team responsible for phones and the network they run on
- Calls answered wherever staff are working
- Numbers kept, lines withdrawn ahead of the switch-off
- Per-user monthly pricing instead of line rental and call charges
